CLR Tutors Are:
- Peer (undergraduate and graduates)
- Professional (professors)
All 70 of our tutors are fully trained and certified (see below). Tutoring is both individual and small-group, and we encourage students to bring class notes, PowerPoints, calculators, and anything else that help tutors understand classroom assignments better.
Certification:
The CLR is a member of the CRLA. The CRLA (the College Reading & Learning Association) is an international institution that certifies tutor training programs. The CLR is certified at levels 1, 2, and 3. Each level of certification requires that the tutor undergo training, in addition to conducting 25 hours of contact time with students.
