B.S. in Criminal Justice and M.S. in Criminal Justice

B.S. in Criminal Justice and Master of Business Administration (MBA) 

Being a leader in public safety is essential. Gain an acute understanding of crime-solving and public safety issues as you learn to not only navigate the intricate fields of criminal justice but also shape the future of our justice system. Business administration graduate degree would allow you to competently plan and execute the work of a criminal justice agency or unit by using the management skills you gain in leadership, public relations, marketing, and financial analytics. Please note: Available for Crime Analysis and Investigative Services concentrations only.

B.S. in Criminal Justice and M.S. in Forensic Technology 

You will gain an acute understanding of crime-solving and public safety issues as you learn to not only navigate the intricate fields of criminal justice but also shape the future of our justice system. Combined with our Forensic Technology Master’s Degree, students will blend traditional crime scene techniques with advanced instrumentation and measurements. Students in this program will master various forms of forensic field technology such as portable instrumentation and forensic database usage. Please note: Available for Investigative Services concentration only.

B.S. in Criminal Justice + Master in Public Administration (MPA) 

The Master of Public Administration provides students with the core skills and knowledge necessary to be successful professionals in Public Service, as well as offer students an opportunity to complete a concentration in one of four timely areas: 1) Municipal Management, 2) Public Finance and Fiscal Analytics, 3) Public Safety, and 4) Nonprofit Management. Our Dual Degree combination of Criminal Justice + MPA allows students to obtain leadership positions in local, state, and federal departments who oversee public safety. Students will be able to combine and enhance law enforcement administration skills including public finance, public policy, political economy, personnel and collective bargaining, and administrative behavior. The MPA program is offered fully online.

B.S. in Criminal Justice and M.S. in National Security 

Having a base in criminal justice while gaining experience in the national security realm will propel a career into high-level government. The program will prepare you with the necessary skills to succeed in the intelligence community by working alongside with practitioners from the FBI, CIA, United Nations, Connecticut State Police, private investigation labs, security agencies, and more. Please note: Only available for Investigative Services Concentration.

B.S. in Forensic Science and M.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology 

As a forensic science major at the University of New Haven, you will learn to use science and technology to uncover evidence that can “testify” in court and impact criminal or civil cases. Broad in its application yet focused on clear training goals, the master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology provides students with the theory and laboratory skills to navigate the rapidly changing landscape of biomedical research. Students who choose this Dual Degree combination will be placed in the undergraduate Biology track.

As a forensic science major at the University of New Haven, you will learn to use science and technology to uncover evidence that can “testify” in court and impact criminal or civil cases. A Master of Science in Chemistry will further help you prepare for a career as a toxicologist for state, local, or government crime labs. Students who choose this Dual Degree combination will be placed in the undergraduate Chemistry track.

B.S. in Homeland Security and Emergency Management and M.S. in Emergency Management 

Homeland security and emergency management focuses on protecting the country and responding to – and recovering from – man-made and natural disasters. Our program is extraordinarily unique because it combines two important areas of study into one. You will gain experience in mitigating disasters using the tools, government agencies, and resources that are currently available.

B.A. in International Affairs and M.S. in National Security 

The International Affairs degree offers an interdisciplinary approach in studying conflict, development, and diplomacy.
