DRIVER AUTHORIZATION PROGRAM

Per the University’s Vehicle Use Policy, members of the University of New Haven community engage in many activities requiring either University-provided transportation or use of a personally owned vehicles.  The University is committed to protecting both the vehicles and especially the people involved in these activities.

Please complete the course below. Upon Completion a notification that you have completed the program will be sent to the Transportation Office. The Transportation Office will have an email prompt sent to your University email account to complete a driver’s license background check sent by HireRight.

Description

Driving on school business, transporting passengers, and operating golf carts are serious responsibilities and drivers must be ready for the unexpected. Proper preparation for trips, minor adjustments to driving habits, and elimination of distractions can help reduce risks on the road. The courses in this learning program will help all drivers at your institution identify and mitigate common risks and learn specific strategies for accident avoidance and handling emergency situations.

Login/Register into the driver training system

If you’re logging in for the first time you will need to register your account with your university email address.  The registration form will ask for a “branch code” which is 415-88868.
