Student Financial Wellness graphic. The mission of the Financial Literacy Committee is to provide students of the University of New Haven with valuable skills, knowledge and resources to help them make informed and effective financial decisions for a lifetime of financial well-being. 

We offer engaging and relatable programs, events and activities based on our student’s needs in money management skills and financial education. This includes tools and resources that encourage growth in obtaining financial wellness the time they enter University of New Haven onto their future success after graduation.  We also offer one on one meeting with Student Financial Wellness peer educators on topics such as

  • Creating a financial plan
  • Setting saving goals for your future
  • Scholarship searching
  • Student loan management.

The Student Financial Wellness Peer Program provides personal financial and money education to students.  It is a private and confidential resource for students to discuss financial questions and concerns.

SFWPeers are highly trained students with knowledge about accessing resources, tools and support for students. Peers do not provide tax assistance, investment advice, professional financial counseling or referrals to specific financial institutions.
