Graduation Information
Degrees are conferred in May, August, and January. Students must submit a graduation application according to the schedule listed below.
– May conferral – Apply the previous fall between November 1 and January 31.
– August conferral – Apply between February 1 and May 31.
– January conferral – Apply between June 1 and October 31.
** If you need an Intersession class to complete your requirements, your degree will be conferred in May.
PLEASE NOTE – the thresholds below are based on credits completed with grade posted to transcript. It is recommended that students register for their last semester before applying. You may need to wait for current semester grades to post to your transcript before you may apply. If you have not earned the required number of credits, you will receive an error message in Banner.
– Graduate Masters/PhD degrees: a minimum of 18 credits earned.
**Dual degree students must wait to apply until final grades are posted in their first graduate semester.**
– Undergraduate Bachelor’s degrees: a minimum 100 credits earned
– Undergraduate Associate’s degrees: a minimum of 45 credits earned
– Certificates: a minimum of 6 credits earned
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
– Earned credits does not include INC grades or grades not yet submitted.
– An application must be submitted for each credential.
– If you have already filed an application for a credential, Banner will not allow you to submit a duplicate application.
– You cannot submit a graduation application until the credential is posted to your record.
**Diploma mailing address changes MUST be submitted by the last day of the semester in order to guarantee timely delivery. ** Diploma Information Change Request Form

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY PARTICIPATION
The annual Commencement ceremony is scheduled for May. August and January graduate may participate in the May ceremony.
Undergraduate students who are within nine credits, and graduate students who are within six credits of completing their degree requirements may also participate.
