Academic Assessment

The Office of Academic Assessment supports the University’s commitment to educational excellence, consistent with its mission to equip students with the skills they need to lead successful business careers and engage in life-long learning. To that end, the Office of Academic Assessment commits to faculty support through one-on-one consultations, group workshops, and training.

Our primary goal is to formally demonstrate the University’s commitment to ensuring that students graduate prepared for their career of choice and/or continued education. From course-based instructional outcomes to the University mission, there is a clear, strategic alignment across all levels of student learning.

Why faculty are the drivers in assessment of student learning?

  • Faculty have the primary responsibility for facilitating learning (delivery of instruction)

  • Faculty are already heavily involved in assessment (classroom, matriculation)

  • Faculty are the content experts

  • Who knows better what students should learn than faculty?

1. All academic programs have entered/stored data for at least ONE program outcomes by spring 2020.

2. Faculty involved in the Core Curriculum (i.e., course faculty, course coordinators, department chairs) have collected data and will enter in our central repository by spring 2020.
